New this summer on the trails
We’ve added seven vibrant interpretive panels to enhance your walks through the Marsh’s Falls Nature Reserve.
Explore fascinating topics like turtles, oxbow wetlands, pollinators, and the rich history of the land you walk on. Whether you're a curious kid or a lifelong learner, there’s something new to discover as you explore the property.
On your next visit to the nature reserve, take a moment to stop, read, and connect more deeply with the landscape.
Please register for your visit here.
Special thanks to Paul Madder for donating several photographs for the panels — your images truly enrich the experience for all visitors.
Funding for the interpretive panels was generously provided by our donors and a grant from the Lake of Bays Community Fund held at the Muskoka Community Foundation.

The StoryWalk is here
We’re excited to announce that the StoryWalk at the Marsh's Falls Nature Reserve is now installed and ready for visitors of all ages to enjoy! A StoryWalk is a fun, engaging way to combine literacy, physical activity, and outdoor exploration — perfect for families with children ages 3 and up.
Begin your adventure just west of the Education Centre, where a short 250-metre trail invites you into the world of A Mischief of Mice by Christie Matheson. As you stroll along, each sign reveals the next page of the story, turning your walk into a moving picture book surrounded by nature.
Thank you to volunteers Cathy Francis, Louisa McClanahan and Joan Decarie who helped make this happen.
This interactive experience supports our mission to connect the community to nature through education and outdoor events. Come walk, read, and explore!
Please register for your visit here.
(StoryWalk is a service mark registered to Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT.)
