with Muskoka historian Patrick Boyer

Muskoka historian J. Patrick Boyer will present a kaleidoscopic view of Lake of Bays themes such as Indigenous life, railroads, SS Bigwin, and David Thompson’s map of the lake.

Patrick is a fourth-generation Muskokan whose ancestors settled here before Confederation. He is a prolific author and broadcaster on Muskoka history. Huntsville-based Hunters Bay Radio distributes Patrick’s monthly program, Boyer’s Modern History of Muskoka. His monthly articles for UNIQUE Muskoka include an October 2020 feature on C.O.
